Again there was an exhibition match with Moira, and again Moira were the victors. If we had had a little more know-how, A. Bob Jessel came up with two wins and the others won one and lost one.
But against B. Papik, Simard, and Kung each picked up a win. Bob Sinasac was unable to wrestle in this tourney or any of the following because of a bad knee injury. With Bob in the line up we were pretty sure of at least one win. Well, Trenton thought they would try their luck again, but Albert proved to be the superior.
Pat Allan came back into the line up and won both his bouts, along with Pierre Simard. The other three won one apiece. There is one wrestler whose name has not been mentioned above. Paul Crittendon, who wrestled in all the tournaments, did not manage to win a bout mainly because of lack of experience. But he tried really hard and maybe next year he will begin to show his stuff. Although they placed sixth out of seven school entries, they still managed to walk away with some individual honours.

It was a long journey, but that was forgotten when we hit the bright lights of New York in the early evening. We got settled in our rooms and then went on a sight seeing tour, led by Mr.

Everyone was anti- cipat'ng the formal, one of the highlights of the weekend. It was a gala affair and a great success. Sunday dawned victorious and witnessed the A. A beautiful day for the kindling of friendships and the renewing of others. The day had a quiet taps in Chapel.
Finally, Monday arrived, the day the old students had been waiting for. This day belonged to them. We all joined forces, and after picking the boy of our choice, the weekend began with a dance at Ackerman Hall.
The dress was casual, and we all had a good time dancing to the latest songs. Next we proceeded to various restaurants in town, as we were treating the boys to a meal. Still, when it was through, we had to run in order to get in on time. The boys made certain that our money was well spent, but also that we had a good time. Considering Sad. On Sunday the rules of etiquette again returned to normal.
These informal dances added variety to our routine Saturday nights, as we could go to a show or go for a walk, and then return to Ackerman Hall to dance and have a lot of fun with the rest of the A. Before our Banquet was underway Mr. MacKay, along with some of the students and staff sang the traditional Boars Head Carol, which added to the Christmasy atmosphere.
Later we were entertained by the Bay of Quinte Quartet. At the end of the meal, we all adjourned to the chapel for a short service. Around He gave out various gifts to the teachers and students, which added a few laughs and the finishing touches to a wonderful evening.
Cupid, assisted by the decorating committee, created a romantic atmosphere which bewitched every person who attended. Peter Battman and his orchestra set the musical spell and we danced the three short hours away like magic.
The experience I have gained personally will prove an invaluable asset throughout my life. In an environment such as this, self-discipline and organization are mandatory for success. In residence we learn to respect the rights of others and to get along more harmoniously with others.
Regarding etiquette, we learn to respect and accept good manners as something natural, rather than as a tool to be used on formal occasions. We learn to treat people as individuals, and respect them as ladies and gentlemen. Religion becomes an integral part of our life, and we can no longer be the typical non- commital teen-age fence-sitters.
We contemplate and discuss religion, and even the doubters profit from the experience. However, these things are not automatic, and do not come merely as a matter of course. We must be receptive to these special fields Albert offers, or we cannot profit from them. This is a tall order, and it covers all aspects of College life. The Councils of both terms this year have worked relentlessly toward this end, and have accomplished a great deal.
However, without the co-operation, patience, and wisdom of Mr. Simpson, our amiable and highly respected staff advisor, our effectiveness would have been greatly reduced. This has been a successful and memorable year, and this is the result of the efforts of each individual student. That is a lesson in life — that is Albert College. Pat: Fresh air. Oikel for taking over so well our grade thirteeners in distress! Misener teaches Boys" physical education and health grade eleven physics and grade nine and ten science. He has led the boys to championships in basketball, wrestling and other sports. We shall miss you both very much. Our very best wishes to you! For awhile this year she was very sick and we were certainly happy at her return. Miss Brintinell lives outside of Belleville with her mother and father. Whenever anyone needed help you could always depend on Miss Brintinell.

Hubbs have been at Albert for five years. Hubbs coaches the Junior boys basketball team. There are now two very active little boys in the Hubbs household. Jamie, 4 yrs, and David, 1 year. It would be wonderful to get some of these standards back at Albert again.
It would be rather difficult, I fear, for me to give my first hasty impressions of life at Albert College. And it was not until this feeling began to wear off.
I would like to particularize my impressions. The fact was soon revealed to me that the girls, as a rule, were ready and willing to accept, with courtesy, an addition to their circle of comrades, and it was not long until I was installed in the most friendly relations with the Fourth Form girls. A notable fact was the entire absence of criticism or cynical remarks upon the part of any students with regard to others. On the contrary, mutual kindliness and sociability were everywhere prevalent.
I concluded that the association would be most helpful to each one in attendance if he or she chose to make it so. I was also favourably impressed with the moral and spiritual phase of College Life. But sheltered and harboured as they are in the College, and with the Gospel and other pure influences brought into close contact with them, such a fate is impossible.
With regard to educational facilities and training in neutral stability, I concluded that College Life afforded advantages of a most superior nature.
There is a great tendency to cheerfulness and sparkling ga ety, which, however, can easily be turned to quiet self-possession and perilous application to duty. It was a great revelation to me to see how much pleasure and goodness was called forth in the majority of students by very, very slight acts of kindness and courtesy on our part.
I felt that in an institution of this k : nd one acquires magnanimity in judging others, and seeks for good qualities rather than defects. This College Life is greatly educative in the study of human nature, and is a means of much strengthening of character. But one can generally adapt oneself to any circumstances if one is conscientious and persistent, and I found that I could overcome my dissatisfaction and distaste for this condition of affairs.
Could it not be said however, on the other hand, that one pure, refined student could be the means of uplifting and ennobling the moral and spiritual status of the majority of those with whom he comes in contact?
Constant contest is waged between these counteracting influences. But I was and am still impressed with the fact that the advantages so far supersede the disadvantages that all with whom it is attainable should strive for at least a glimpse of College Life.
